MISHA KAHN AT LA CIENEGA
Dries Van Noten is delighted to present an exhibition of pieces from Brooklyn based artist Misha Kahn at 451 La Cienega. The installation features a variety sculptures, lighting and furniture in a vibrant mix of materials and processes. For the occasion Kahn has produced a limited edition bomber jacket and shirt.
Kahn creates sculptural pieces that challenge the conventions of everyday objects and celebrate the vast world of techniques, materials and textures. While reimagining structure, proportion and production, he works with many processes in a myriad of mediums including metalwork, glass, wood, textiles, ceramic, bronze casting, fiberglass, and cement. Kahn’s work has been exhibited internationally and is held in the permanent collections of several museums including Corning Museum of Glass, New York; Dallas Museum of Art, Texas; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and Speed Museum of Art, Louisville.
