The Little House
CHRISTOPH HEFTI AT THE LITTLE HOUSE
Dries Van Noten is delighted to present an exhibition of work by Swiss textile designer and artist Christoph Hefti at La Cienega’s Little House.
The installation features sculptures created exclusively for this exhibition, along with a selection of Hefti’s vibrant hand-knotted relief carpets made of Nepalese wool and silk, and unique interior pieces: a curtain and poufs in a variety of fabrics. The exhibition continues in The Big House with ceramics and rugs in store.
Christoph Hefti creates experimental, spontaneous pieces that explore the mystical and spiritual traditions of storytelling through fabrics. Inspired by folklore and traditional craft techniques, Hefti often travels to Nepal to design and develop each series of hand-knotted rugs. He is represented by Maniera gallery, Brussels and his work is in the collections of the Swiss National Museum and the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich as well as private collections internationally.
