Paul Banks

Paul Banks is a musician, singer and songwriter. Best known as vocalist, lyricist, and guitarist of the rock band Interpol, a group often referred to as one of the most influential New York based bands of their generation. Paul’s work with Interpol spans two decades, delivering multiple albums including the contemporary classic ‘Turn On The Bright Lights’ which has sold over a million copies, and their most recent 2018 release ‘Marauder’.  

Away from Interpol, Paul has released solo albums under various names including Julian Plenti, Banks and eponymously. Paul partnered with Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA on the Banks & Steelz project which featured collaborations with Kool Keith, Ghostface Killah, Florence Welch and Method Man. His most recent project Muzz was formed with good friends Matt Barrick of The Walkmen and Fleet Foxes, and Josh Kaufman of Bonny Light Horseman and The War on Drugs, releasing the 2020 album ‘Muzz’.
