Nile Rodgers

Nile Rodgers is an American guitarist, singer-songwriter, record producer, arranger and composer. The co-founder of Chic, Rodgers’ body of work is truly exceptional, having pioneered a vast musical language that has generated chart topping hits like ‘Le Freak’ (the best-selling single in the history of Atlantic Records) and helped spark the advent of hip-hop with ‘Good Times’.

Rodgers is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a three-time Grammy Award-winner and the Chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame. His work with the Chic Organization and his productions for artists like David Bowie, Diana Ross and Madonna have generated over 500 million album- and 75 million single-sales worldwide. His collaborations with Daft Punk, Avicii, Sigala, Disclosure, Sam Smith and Lady Gaga reflect the vanguard of contemporary music. He is currently serving as the first-ever Chief Creative Advisor for Abbey Road Studios.

Nile Rodgers & Chic’s first studio album in 26 years – ‘It’s About Time’ – received critical acclaim and a Top 10 position in the UK album charts. His recent live performances with Chic have been singled-out as highlights of both Glastonbury and Coachella, with a BBC Music Awards nomination for Best Live Performance.
